Safeguarding & Protecting Children

Every child deserves to enjoy their sport. This workshop will raise your awareness of the telltale signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should the need ever arise while coaching/instructing/volunteering.

Tuesday 30th October, 6pm – 9pm at Bowburn Community Association

Emergency First Aid in Sport

The 3 hour emergency first aid workshop includes; adult & child resuscitation, the unconscious casualty, choking, chest pain, seizures, asthma, bleeding, bone, muscle and joint injuries, head injury, primary survey, sprains and strains and defibrillator use example.

Tuesday 6th November, 6pm – 9pm at Bowburn Community Association

Fundamental Game-breaking

The FUNdamental game breaking workshop looks at how you take fun activities or game based activities and breaks them down to the skill set that players / athletes require to be successful within the game. A very practical workshop that will challenge even the most experienced coach to their knowledge of fundamentals of movement and Fundamental movement skills.

Creating a Positive Environment for Coaching Fundamentals

A practical workshop that looks at the importance of designing and developing the right coaching environment for learning, development and coaching to take place. The workshop is full of practical examples and challenges that will invigorate your athlete’s development and learning.
