School Sport Partnership Assistant Project Manager (Events)
Job Title: School Sport Partnership Assistant Project Manager
Salary: Grade 7 SCP 15 (Actual Salary: £19,738) Term Time Only, Maternity Cover Post, Based upon a 37-hour working week
Term: 10 month Maternity Cover starting Monday 2nd March 2020
Responsible to: SSP Manager
Base: Durham & Chester-le-Street SSP is based at Durham University’s Sport and Well Being Park at Maiden Castle.
An Assistant Project Manager is required to join the successful Durham & Chester-le-Street School Sport Partnership (www.durhamclsssp.org.uk) for a maternity post to co-ordinate, develop, and deliver an intra school multi-sport event programme. The role will also involve supporting the wider School Sport Partnerships annual competition programme. The appointed post holder will also be responsible for the planning & implementation of the SSP’s Durham Dash Flagship event and perform other duties to enable the successful delivery of the School Sport Partnerships Service Level Agreements with local schools.
The successful candidate would also be required to provide administration support to the School Sport Partnership Manager.
This position would suit a candidate who holds a degree in a Sport related subject and has an active interest in developing PE and Sport opportunities for young people both within school and in the community. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience of organising events and knowledge of the school sport landscape. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication, administration and organisational skills. Teamwork and enthusiasm are vital ingredients required for the School Sport Partnership team.
This position is full time and is offered as a fixed term contract, maternity post up until Friday 24th January 2021.
