Fixed term, 2 year contract (with a view to extend based upon continuation of funding)
Location: County Durham Sport Offices, however you will be required to travel within County Durham and occasionally regionally.

About the role
County Durham Sport (CDS) is looking for a well organised, flexible and outgoing individual to join the team.
Within the role, predominantly funded by Sport England programme funding, the officer will be responsible for planning, developing, supporting and delivering programmes and interventions e.g. Satellite Clubs and club support programmes.
The post holder will be required to engage with partners, clubs and organisations to deliver against programme aims, with a specific focus on addressing inactivity and have a commitment to developing a strong understanding of the needs of the target group, specifically young people aged 14 – 19.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting clubs and groups and have a role in influencing how they develop and deliver their programmes to address the barriers to participation.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the impact sport and physical activity can have.
