Four young ice hockey stars from County Durham have been selected to the national side for the second year running. Abi McCourt, Connor Lewis and Tommy Spraggon from Durham and Finn Bradon from School Aycliffe were picked for their respective England teams after a gruelling 7-month selection process.
Abi will travel with the England U16 girls ice hockey team to Slovakia for a four-team international tournament later next month.
Connor, Tommy and Finn will travel to Finland with the England U14 boys ice hockey team for an international tournament featuring teams from Finland and Russia. Tommy Spraggon was also named as Assistant Captain of the team.
All four play for the Billingham Stars U15 team and were part of the U13 team who became National Champions in 2018.
