Sport strategy consultation
Consultations are taking place throughout February and March 2011 to allow people to contribute to the development of a strategy for sport in County Durham. Whether you are an administrator, coach, volunteer or participant, we want to hear your views on the future of sport for the county.
Whilst a number of strategies exist, the county does not currently have a sport specific strategy that sets out the long term vision for community and performance sport. This strategy will be developed with a wide range of partners including Durham County Council, Durham University, Leisureworks, NHS County Durham & Darlington and County Durham Sport. The county's 5 Community Sport Networks (CSNs) will be running consultation events. These events are open to anyone, but numbers may be limited.
Please note that this strategy is different to the Durham County Council Sport & Leisure Strategy which has recently been under consultation and maps out the county council's intended approach to sport and leisure provision.
If you are unable to attend an event, or have already attended one of the events, you can complete the consultation survey by following this link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/sport-survey-consultation.
