Everyone who participates in rowing is entitled to do so in a safe and enjoyable environment. All ARA clubs, competitions and associated individuals must follow the policies defined in this document. The ARA is committed to help everyone in rowing accept their responsibility to safeguard children from harm and abuse and to support them to do so. This document sets out the procedures to be followed.

The ASA believes that the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility, particularly when it comes to protecting children from abuse. Everyone in swimming - administrator, club official, coach, parent, friend, children themselves, everyone - can help.

Baseball Softball UK is committed to working in partnership with all relevant agencies to ensure that information and training opportunities are available for everyone involved in Baseball and/or Softabll to guide them in best practice when working with children, young people and adults. Adopting best practice will help to safeguard young people and adults from potential abuse and harassment as well as protecting coaches and other adults in positions of responsibility from potential false allegations.

British Canoe Union

The BCU wishes to ensure that all those taking part in canoeing are able to do so protected and kept safe from harm while they are with staff, coaches and/or volunteers. This is particularly true in respect of children and vulnerable adults.

This document, which has been prepared with the full co-operation and support of all the British Equestrian Federation member groups, contains the collective policy on child protection and comprehensive guidance which will help coaches, instructors, parents and carers - and of course, children - to have only positive experiences when participating in any equestrian activity.

All participants in fencing have the right to be safe and to be treated with dignity and respect. The promotion of good practice will reduce the possibility of abusive situations occurring. British Fencing believes that the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility, particularly when it comes to protecting children from abuse.

Participation in gymnastics and trampolining can and does provide valuable life experiences. British Gymnastics acknowledge that despite all the benefits of participation, sport can provide easy access to children and present opportunities for an individual who wants to harm children. British Gymnastics accepts that the welfare and safety of young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of everyone in the sport, whether paid staff or volunteers.

The Children in Golf Strategy Group (CiG) is committed to ensuring that all children have a fun, safe and positive experience when playing golf. Each partner of CiG recognises its responsibilities to safeguard children's welfare by protecting them from all forms of abuse and bullying.

The England Basketball Child Protection Policy and Procedures will allow children, young people and vulnerable adults to develop in a safe environment and transmit a reassuring signal to parents that will positively impact on increased participation in the sport. This policy is mandatory for the game as a whole and provides guidelines to everyone in basketball, whether working in a professional or voluntary capacity.

As part of its committment, England Hockey has published a Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey ("SPYP") Policy which everyone within the Hockey Family must comply with.

England Netball is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people to play netball. England Netball Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball Policy and Procedures apply to all individuals involved, paid or in a voluntary capacity.

England Squash has reviewed its policy and procedures in relation to the welfare and protection of young people in squash in line with the updated legislation and national guidelines. England Squash accepts its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all young people and protect them from poor practice, abuse and bullying.

England and Wales Cricket Board

The England and Wales Cricket Board takes their responsibility for the well-being of the game extremely seriously. The millions of people throughout England and Wales who enjoy the national summer sport, across all ages and from a hugely diverse range of backgrounds should have a positive experience, whatever their involvement. This Safeguarding Policy provides the sport with the tools to ensure that the whole game takes up the challenge of continuously improving the participation conditions for children.

English Lacrosse Association

The English Lacrosse Association has produced this Child Protection Policy to help understand the issue of child protection and good practice. The ELA has responsibilities to children, coaches and other paid and voluntary officials. The safety and welfare of children should always be the primary consideration.

The Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) accepts a moral responsibility to implement procedures to provide a duty of care for young people, to safeguard the well-being of young and vulnerable adults and protect them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying. This document sets out the principles and procedures to be adopted by all GNAS clubs, professional or volunteer staff, coaches, officials, administrators, parents and participants.

Tennis clubs provide opportunities for children to take part in exciting, challenging and healthy activities. All organisations that work with children have a shared duty to ensure that those children benefit from a safe, enjoyable environment, and are protected from abuse. This means having systems in place to promote and maintain the highest standards possible, and to respond quickly to any problems or concerns.

National Rounders Association

National Rounders Association

The National Rounders Association is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all young people playing our sport and have developed the Child Protection Policy and Good Practice Guidance for members. The welfare of vulnerable members, both adults and children, is the first consideration. All members have the right to be protected from bad practice, neglect, bullying and all forms of emotional and physical abuse.

This revised and updated policy explains the RFL's work in the area of Safeguarding and Protecting all individuals who participate in Rugby League. This aspect of the organisation's activities is extremely important and the RFL constantly strives to ensure that the sport offers a safe, suitable and effective environment for everybody.

UK Athletics believes that everyone involved in athletics should thrive, fare well and enjoy safety, security and protection from abuse, maltreatment or misconduct. Every individual involved in athletics events and programmes is responsible for upholding this belief.

It is essential that, during their formative years, children who wish to participate in volleyabll activity get an enjoyable experience which they can take into adulthood and in later years impart to future generations of volleyballers. Not only must the experience be enjoyable but it must also be in a safe, non-threatening environment. This is both imperative and beneficial for all parties. It will ensure that parents can be safe in the knowledge that their children are taking part in sport in safe and child friendly volleyball clubs and that the standards of coaching and instruction are of the requisite quality.
