Take part in the Gold Challenge

Gold Challenge is the UK's first Olympic & Paralympic sport based charity challenge. Working in partnership with the British Olympic Association, Sport England and Paralympics GB it forms part of the official mass participation legacy programme for London 2012. A specific corporate offering has been designed to encourage employee engagement, team building and fundraising for our charity partners. Gold Challenge gives you the opportunity to run an employee engagement programme that is directly linked with the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Each programme can be tailored to fit their internal culture and employee engagement goals. Gold Challenge can inspire each of your employees to create their own personal challenge and then support them in making it a reality. If you want to involve your organisation and take up the Gold Challenge please read the document below and follow the registration instructions.

The County Durham Sport Core Team (aka the County Durham Dynamos) have signed up to take part in the London 2012 inspired Gold Challenge. The challenge will see the Core Team attempt to complete a total of 2012 km between now and the start of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games in July using a variety of activities including running, walking, cycling and swimming. We will use the monthly e-newsletter to keep you updated on the our progress in terms of distances completed and money raised for our chosen charity, the NSPCC.
