Npower North East Disability Sports Awards
The npower North East Disability Sports Awards were held on Wednesday 17 March at Durham County Cricket Club. Ian Payne from ITV Tyne Tees and Border hosted the event which celebrated the sporting achievements of disabled sports people in the North East Region. Seven awards were presented as well as three npower bursaries and an EFDS Clubmark Accreditation Certificate. The winners were:
Young Male Achiever: Matthew James Wylie

Service to Sport Award: Keith Wilcox
Presented by a group of Special Olympic Athletes
Female Personality: Lucy Ellen Gardener
Presented by Paralympic athlete Hazel Robson - Lucy also receives an npower Bursary
Male Personality: Will Smith

Clubmark Accreditation Certificate: Presented to Anthony Hall and Rosie Pybus from the Actionnaires by Jean Lordon, Executive Director Tees Valley Sport
