Jayenell Gymnastics at GymFusion North
Jayenell Gymnastics recently took part in a nationally organised British Gymnastics Festival - GymFusion North, which was held at Spennymoor Leisure Centre
GymFusion showcases an array of talent to inspire people to get involved in gymnastics and Jayenell is certainly not lacking in talent.
First entry for Jayenell were Jayenell Gymnastics GMPD Display Group (gymnastics and movement for people with disabilities)
They wowed the crowd with a routine to Surfing USA and did incredibly well with their spot on timing and balance and most of all their fantastic enthusiasm, with a huge round of applause from the audience to conclude. The team consisted of David Dobson, Olivia Rowell, Katie Rollo, Bradley Neal and Emily Neal.
The 2nd group from Jayenell were Intermediate group and they performed to a routine which was a battle of good versus evil. All gymnasts worked extremely hard in the lead up to get their impressive balances and tumbles perfected and on the day they certainly didn't fail to impress the audience.
The team consisted of Abbey Swainston, Coral Dean, Gabby Welsh, Rebekah Kay, Katie Mclaren, Nicole Ward, Maddy Wood, Grace Plews, Victoria Archer, Shakira Palmer, Charlotte Bowes, Amelia Harrison, Caitlin Kavanagh, Lauren Nesbitt and Abbie Clews.
Jayenell coaches would like to thank all gymnasts for their hard work and dedication and all the extra hours of training put in. It certainly paid off and they couldn't have been any more prouder in each and every gymnast.
Thanks to British Gymnastics and Regional Development Officer Katie Lawton for giving clubs the opportunity to show the region what they can achieve and hopefully inspire others to take part in the sport.
