Calling all Youth Football Clubs, Schools and Associations!
The UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent, is encouraging all youth football clubs, schools and youth associations across the UK to take part in its unique footballing event - 'Kick!'
Held throughout May-July, this national event is in its 6th year. This year CLIC Sargent hopes to get over 130,000 children involved in fun, football themed events.
Through football, CLIC Sargent has raised £888,000 to date and this year the charity hopes to hit £1 million. That's a lot of footballs kicked to help the 2,700 children diagnosed with cancer this football season alone.
So, a little about Kick! 2011
• 25% of the money raised can be kept by your club / school
• 75% goes to CLIC Sargent - the UK's leading children's cancer charity
• Free fundraising materials
• Suitable for boys and girls of all ages and abilities
• All weather event - can be done indoors or out
"Kick was tremendously easy to run. Everyone had a great time when the children took penalty kicks against the coach." Robert Johnson, Club Secretary , St David's FC
The event can be anything you want... as long as it involves a football! From a penalty shoot out, beat the goalie (vote which coach or teacher goes in goal!), football tournament between rival football teams, or schools, or even your own pre- Euros challenge!
Please get involved in this year's campaign and Kick...for children with cancer!
Why CLIC Sargent needs your help
