BT Community Connections is an award scheme which enables community and charitable organisations to get online and make use of information and communication technology.

The scheme supports a diverse range of community and charitable organisations. In the past voluntary projects, silver-surfers, conservation organisations, family support groups, sports teams and youth groups have all been supported. Almost any organisation, working in any field of community benefit, located anywhere within the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland can apply for a laptop and a year’s free broadband connection.

Those who have never benefited from the scheme before can apply for the laptop and Broadband connection and past winners and/or new applicants can now apply together to form a cluster application. Up to five groups are allowed to apply together in a cluster and will each win an enhanced award package. If successful, all members will be awarded a laptop, a broadband connection and a choice of enhancements including digital cameras, software or specialist equipment.

• Groups can apply for a laptop and a year’s free broadband connection. There are more than 1,000 award packages available to give to groups who can demonstrate how an award will benefit their work and the local community.

You can apply using the online application form; alternatively you can request an application pack from the telephone number or address above.

Applications for must be received by:

5 January 2010 for postal applications

7 January 2010 for online applications
