Run England Leadership Course
As part of the CPAL Run England project we are looking to deliver beginner running groups throughout the County Durham Area. These groups will be open to anyone aged 12 and over especially those aged 40-65 to help increase fitness levels and lower the risk of CVD through running activities.
We are recruiting volunteer coaches for the project and will be holding a Leadership in Running Fitness course on the 29 January at Freeman Quays Leisure Centre, Durham.
You do not need to have any previous coaching experience to attend the course but a minimum level of fitness is required as you will be expected to lead running sessions.
The course is free to anyone aged 18 and over, however anyone who attends this course is required to deliver a minimum number of sessions. You will receive the backing of the Run England Activator in County Durham who will be on hand to help with any questions you or your group may have, and we will come along to help out with any sessions as required.
We will also pay for your CRB check and Leaders Insurance with Run England.
Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
