Free Sports Leaders UK Training Course
nPower has supported a partnership between the English Federation of Disability Sport and Sports Leaders UK to deliver a Sports Leaders UK tutor training course on 10 March 2010. The course will train tutors to deliver both the Level 1 Sports Leadership Award & the Level 2 Community Sports Leadership Award. The course will specifically focus on inclusive strategies to enable the tutors to deliver leadership training to disabled people within community, club & school settings.
Please note that this course is only for those that intend to deliver Sports Leaders UK training to disabled people.
In addition to the free tutors’ course,15 tutors will receive £500 to support them to develop Level 1 & 2 Leadership Training opportunities for disabled people. The funds will help to cover the cost of becoming a Sports Leaders UK Approved Assessment Centre (AAC).
