Sport England has recently introduced a new Small Grants Programme which has £7 million of Lottery funding available for this financial year. The aim of the programme is to support local community sports projects which seek to increase and sustain participation and develop opportunities for those who excel in a particular sport.
The key features of the programme include:
- An online application form including an efficient decision making process
- Simple conditions and measurement requirements
- Grants from £300 up to £10,000 (please be aware the total project cost must not exceed £50,000)
- Projects must be deliverable within 12 months and must be focused only on those sports recognised by Sport England
This programme is open to any not-for-profit club or association, statutory body or educational establishment.
