The Foundation’s Opportunities through Sport programme considers applications from charities throughout the UK. The Foundation supports sporting activities/projects that provide opportunities for people who have a disability or are otherwise disadvantaged to fulfil their potential and to develop personal and life skills. Preference is given to projects that provide skills development and confidence building through sport; sports projects that have a strong training/educational theme; projects that provide sporting equipment and facilities for disabled or disadvantaged people; those that have a high degree of community involvement; and work that engages children and young people at risk of crime, truancy or addiction.
Applications are accepted from registered charities, friendly societies and industrial and provident societies. Application forms can be downloaded from the website or requested from the Foundation.
