Vision:
The vision of the Foundation is to assist financially disadvantaged young people under 18 years of age to participate, to the best of their ability, in the sport of their choice irrespective of their social circumstances, culture or ethnicity and to ensure that, in doing so, they improve their chances both inside and outside sport.

Each application is considered on its own merit, the wide range of sports makes it very difficult to itemise each and every thing required.

These should be considered as guidelines only, as to what you can list as clothing and/or equipment.

Clothing
Shirts:
Playing shirt, practice shirt, polo shirt and dress shirt. Shirt that is appropriate to your particular sport.

Shorts:
Soccer shorts, rugby shorts, tennis shorts, swimwear and training shorts. Shorts that are appropriate to you particular sport.

Footwear:
Boots, shoes, spikes, skates, roller skates, blades and riding boots. Footwear that is appropriate to your sport.

Dress standards:
A large number of sports require you to wear certain types of clothing. Examples of these are dressage, golf, fencing and ice hockey. The Foundation is aware of this and as stated previously will treat each application on its merits in relation to that particular sport.

Equipment:
Bats, racquets, sticks, fencing swords and protective type of equipment that the sport demands. The Foundation is mindful that a lot of clubs/associations and professional groups provide a lot of the larger equipment for general use by its members or the general public. An application should only list personal items for your use only, not items where the general use could be obtained elsewhere.

Travel:
The Foundation will consider help towards travel expenses limited to UK travel only. The amount of travel expenses is at the discretion of the Trustees, if granted.

*Only applications from individuals not schools, groups and associations are accepted.
*You must be under 18 years old when we receive your application.
*Applications must be on the official grant application form.
