What's taken place so far?

In November, a group of girls from Easington took part in an Aerobathon recently to raise money for the NSPCC.

The girls took part in the charity aerobathon as part of the Unlimited Combat project organised by County Durham Sport. The Unlimited Combat project is one of a number of projects funded through Sport Unlimited, designed to encourage 16-19 year olds who may not necessarily be engaged in sport and physical activity to become involved.

The project was open to all 16-19 year olds in County Durham and those who signed up were able to attend eight free exercise classes within a Durham County Council leisure centre. The project culminated in an Aerobathon organised by the NSPCC where those involved were able to put their new skill into practice by taking part in body combat, circuits and bootcamp sessions.

What's happening soon?

Body Jam classes are launching as part of the Young Women's Project and will take place at Oak Leaf Sports Complex on Wednesdays from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

Body Jam is a choreographed exercise programme to the latest music and is suitable for all fitness levels. If you're aged between 16 and 19, why not give it a go?

More events will be taking place soon - keep checking for more details!
