Responsibilities
• Lead Officer with responsibility for the implementation of 'A Physical Activity Strategy for County Durham' representing the County Sport Partnership as a link partner on the County Durham Health & Wellbeing Partnership
• Support the County Durham Sport Board, Steering Group and Core Team with respect to physical activity policy and strategy
• Provide support to the Physical Activity Strategy Implementation Team (PASIT) meetings and planning
• Coordinate the Changing the Physical Activity Landscape (CPAL) programme funded by NHS County Durham
• Provide leadership and guidance to projects funded by CPAL, including financial and performance management against set targets, workforce development, developing funding proposals and agreements with organisations
• Work with local partner agencies to promote the CPAL programme and the wider benefits of physical activity
• Liaise with national and regional organisations in communicating and supporting developments in physical activity (i.e. County Sports Partnership Network, North East Physical Activity Forum.)
• Directly support regional groups i.e. Chair of the North East Physical Activity Forum's Continued Professional Development Committee
